Hey, pals.

In my last post you might have seen me mention a lil fundraiser that was planned for 8th? Well I'm pleased to say it was a HUGE success and I was there to witness the whole thing!

So, my day properly started at 6:00am where I met Charlotte before preparing ourselves for the gruelling 5 hour journey from Plymouth to London. Yes, there was energy drink involved! Other than our very random talking topics and in coach entertainment that consisted of singing. (Our fellow passengers loved us.) Charlotte introduced me to the amazing film ever, Frozen. I am now obsessed.

coach antics.
Today was going to be a very special day because not only were we going to raise awareness and money for a great cause; Macmillian Cancer Support but aswell as this I'm meeting OTY for the very first time.

Myself and Betsy have been speaking for about 2 years now (before she joined the band) and never had the chance to meet because, quite frankly, distance is a bitch, but i was not going to pass up this opportunity and we finally met and we definitely made up for lost time with the amount of pictures we took, hahaha!

plus 31 more ... Anyway, back to the fundraising!

After arriving fashionably late, we witnessed a massive crowd blocking off most of Leicester Square that was devoted to watching OTY busk, it was incredible that so many came to support the guys and donate and they'd only been there 10 minutes!

Their setlist consisted of covers of popular songs such as Counting Stars and Roar as well as a few of their own originals and some good ol' Fresh Prince Of Bel Air improv thrown in for good measure! It was ideal promotion for them. They were also joined by good friend and fellow musician, Ollie Wade who entertained the crowd between breaks and Parisa's sister Zahra also got involved! Last but not least, the extremely beautiful and brave Sophie was there to witness how many people love and want to stand by her through this terrible illness.

All in all It truly was an amazing day and with the sun shining and money buckets rattling nothing could fault it. Only The Young raised £704 in just 4 hours so like i said it was an incredibly successful day and I'm sure on behalf of everyone, I am sending my love and wishes to Sophie in hope she makes a remarkable recovery.

Stay Strong Mummy OTY!!

Here are a few pictures and a video montage created by a very amazing fan, Bryony, of the day.
